日頃より堀井七茗園をご愛顧いただき、誠にありがとうございます。このたび私たちは、新たなブランド 「庵 – Iori –」 の販売を開始いたします。
販売開始日：2025年11月20日（木）16:00〜
庵は、“現代の暮らしの中にひらかれた、小さな茶の庵” をテーマに、日本の“ほんまもん”に宿る美意識と、私たち自身の感性をそっと重ね合わせたブランドです。
「不易流行」の精神を胸に、日本と世界、実用と詩情のあいだにそっと佇みながら、時を超えて育まれてきた日本の“ほんまもん”の品々に、現代の息吹、そして私たちらしい感性を吹き込んでいます。
創業1879年から製茶業に向き合ってきた私たちは、長く茶づくりに携わる中で培われてきた精神性 ― つくる姿勢や、茶にまつわる美意識 ― を、庵というブランドの根に据えています。それらを背景に、現代の暮らしに静かに寄り添うかたちへとそっと仕立てたプロダクトを皆さまへお届けします。
第一弾：宇治の茶陶 朝日焼 × 堀井七茗園
宇治七茗園「奥ノ山茶園」の茶樹から生まれた茶盌
六百年の歴史をもつ宇治七茗園「奥ノ山茶園」。その茶樹から採取した灰を釉薬に用い、朝日焼がひとつひとつ手で生み出した茶盌です。宇治の土地の記憶と焼き物の表情が溶け合い、静かな佇まいの中に深い奥行きを宿した器となりました。

堀井七茗園そのものを映し出す香りです。伝統を守りながら現代の感性を取り入れる ― 保守と革新が溶け合う時間。過去から受け継いだ宇治茶の価値を尊重しつつ、未来へ続く新たな表現を探る。“今と未来をつなぐひととき” をそっと閉じ込めた香りです。
● 奥ノ山茶園の香り
室町時代から続く「奥ノ山茶園」の六百年の営みを、香りとして結んだ一品です。茶摘みの声がこだまし、風が深い緑を抜けていく季節。摘みたての茶葉の香り、土の温もり、陽の光の揺らぎ ― そのすべてを静かに抱きとめ、ひとつの香りに閉じ込めました。
そして、庵という名前に込めた、ひらかれた静けさと余白の感覚をとどめながら、皆さまの暮らしにそっと寄り添い、その中に息づく安らぎをお届けしてまいります。

Iori – Launch Announcement
Thank you always for your continued support of Horii Shichimeien. We are delighted to announce the launch of our new brand, “Iori.”
Launch Date: November 20, 2025 (Thu) from 16:00 (JST)
Iori is a brand inspired by the idea of “a small tea hermitage, quietly open within modern life.” It gently weaves together the aesthetic spirit of authentic Japanese craftsmanship —honmamon — with our own contemporary sensibilities.
Guided by the spirit of fueki-ryūkō — the timeless held in harmony with the new — Iori stands softly between Japan and the world, practicality and poetry, breathing a fresh, modern expression into objects nurtured through generations.
Since our founding in 1879, we have devoted ourselves to the craft of tea. Through this long engagement with tea-making, we have cultivated a spirit — a way of approaching creation, and an aesthetic sensibility rooted in tea culture.
This spirit forms the foundation of Iori. With it as our quiet backbone, we shape products that gently accompany the cadence of contemporary living.
First Collection:
Asahiyaki × Horii Shichimeien
A Tea Bowl Born from the Tea Trees of Okunoyama Tea Garden
The Okunoyama Tea Garden is one of the historic Uji Shichimeien, with six centuries of tradition. Ash made from its tea trees is used as glaze, and each bowl is crafted by hand by Asahiyaki. The memory of the land and the subtle expressions of the kiln come together, resulting in a vessel of quiet presence and profound depth.

A fragrance that reflects Horii Shichimeien itself. A moment where tradition meets a modern sensitivity — conservatism and innovation gently intertwined. Honoring the value of Uji tea passed down through generations, while seeking new expressions for the future, this scent holds a quiet interval that connects the present to what lies ahead.
● The Scent of Okunoyama Tea Garden
A fragrance shaped by the six-hundred-year history of Okunoyama Tea Garden. The voices of tea harvesters echo through the fields as the wind moves through deep green leaves. The aroma of freshly picked tea, the warmth of the earth, the shimmer of sunlight — all of these ephemeral moments are softly gathered and held within this scent.
Holding within it the sense of openness, quietude, and gentle ma that we placed into the name “Iori,” we hope these creations bring a subtle comfort and serene presence to the everyday lives of all who welcome them.
