Our roasted tea powder is made exclusively from first-flush green tea leaves. In addition, we use the stems of Tencha, the raw material for our signature matcha, as part of the blend, giving the tea a rich and fragrant aroma.
Hojicha is particularly aromatic when freshly roasted, so we process the tea immediately after roasting and finely grind it into powder. This helps preserve its wonderful roasted aroma while keeping the flavor smooth and mellow, with less bitterness and astringency thanks to the use of first-flush tea leaves.
The powder has the characteristic brown color of Hojicha and a gentle, mellow flavor.
